SRR Review Grade: A
Wolf Tales, the January 2006 release
by the very talented Kate Douglas, is a purely awesome paranormal erotic
book. This is the book that kicks off Kate’s very popular Wolf
series! Wolf Tales isn’t for the faint of heart, be prepared for
a journey into the highly erotic and extremely sensual world of the
Chanku – those that have the ability to shift from human to wolf and
back again (without a full moon).
Kate Douglas can certainly write a sex scene like no
other! Wolf Tales is filled with explicit yet beautifully
written sex scenes. Although, not normally what I would choose to read
on my own, pulled me in from the beginning and wouldn’t let go
until I finished reading the book. I easily became involved in the
story that Kate Douglas wrote between Stefan, Anton, Alexandria and
Keisha.
I loved the paranormal aspect of
Wolf Tales. The legend that is the Chanku is romantic and
enthralling. Men and woman who have descended from a long line of
shape shifters and who are able to shift from wolf to human without the
aid of a full moon or magic. They live in a pack where although there
is one mate for each Chanku, they are a polyamourous race. It is part
of who they are to share their bodies with not only the opposite but
also the same sex.
The sex between the Chanku is
romantic, sensual, emotional and very erotic! Kate Douglas made each
sexual encounter in Wolf Tales unique and HOT! If you’re looking
for a sexy read with intriguing paranormal elements, Wolf Tales
is just the book for you.
Although I will not recommend this book to
those under eighteen years of age, due to the graphic sexual encounters
between the characters, I will definitely recommend it to those readers
who like their books spicy! |
