Synopsis:
Dan Romeo CEO of the mysterious Phoenix Agency, has just completed a
dangerous mission and wants some down time. But when his friend Chase
Carpenters calls with an emergency, how can he refuse him? Someone is
threatening to steal Chase’s brand new high tech robot about to be unveiled
and all he’s got is an anonymous tip. Art historian Mia Fleming has battled
with her precognitive abilities all her life, often shunned by a skeptical
public and even more skeptical police. But the visions relating to the robot
are so vivid she can’t ignore them. When Dan tracks her down as the source
of the anonymous note, he wonders if she’s the culprit or a conduit for a
message? Things get complicated when the electricity between Dan and Mia
ratchets up into high voltage and they find it’s not something they can
ignore. Then bodies begin falling, Mia’s vision escalate in horror and
intensity and the tension at Carpenter Techtronics is off the charts. When
Mia is shot and almost killed, Dan and his team race to locate the real
robot and find the killers before they can strike again.

Dr. Mia Fleming thought her job at the DeWitt Art Museum
would provide her with the isolation she needed for her unpredictable
visions. When her latest vision grew in intensity and gave more clues, she
knew she had to warn the proper person of the danger she saw and felt. Chase
Carpenter has just invented a product that will forever change military and
law enforcement surveillance. The product is called Oscar. Daniel Romero,
CEO of Phoenix Agency, an international security firm, is called in to
determine how credible an anonymous email is to the safety of his product
and it's upcoming release.
After determining that Mia may actually be on to something and the following
visions are proving helpful to Phoenix and the police, the conspirators are
determined to get her out of the picture premaritally while Dan is
determined to keep her safe.
Visions of Darkness was the perfect mixture of romance and suspense.
Ms. Rochelle's storytelling was like a tornado and I was in the center
watching all the organized chaos unfold. Mia seemed fragile at times but
when she realized that there were people who believed in her and her gift,
she blossomed. Dan was the poster boy for the military. Strong, determined,
focused and always under control that was until he met Mia. Their romance
was a fast paced romance under pressure. It was intense, all-consuming, and
one that was destined to happen. I enjoyed reading about the new friendship
between Mia and Faith. I would love to read the continuing stories of the
Phoenix Agency because the characters wrapped themselves around me and made
me feel like I was part of their family.
