Synopsis:

Sara has been so busy saving the lives of others, her own life has passed her by. But when a mysterious alien captain crash lands his ship on the Eurus colony, Sara feels an unexplained attraction to him and decides to throw herself into an unexpected love affair.

The last thing Davin wants is to walk into a relationship with anyone, let alone a feisty human doctor. But when he is forced to stay on the colony, Davin can’t help but be drawn to Sara’s strength and spirit. As long as he can hide the true nature of his healing abilities from her, everything will be fine.

They tumble headlong into a fiery sexual relationship, drawing closer until events threaten to push them apart permanently. When a group of miners on the planet begins to exhibit unusual behavior, Davin must put his fears aside and work with Sara to save their lives. If he can’t open up to her, all may be lost.

SRR GRADE: A

As the chief medical officer on the Eurus colony Sara works hard but never has a chance to play. She avoids it, always feeling the shadow of the uprising and terror of the years before. Her friends are concerned but so far haven’t been able to get her out of her shell. Even she knows she’s lacking something and begins to day dream about a glorious man.

The last place in the world Davin wanted to have to crash land was on the Eurus colony but there was nothing he could do about it. And when Sara appeared she was like an apparition he couldn’t part from. Accidentally hurting her in a scuffle all he wanted was to make sure she was alright.

While Davin’s ship was being fixed he gets involved in the intrigue that is brewing in this seemingly peaceful colony. But as usual things are hardly what they seem and neither is Davin. Sara falls for him and the two of them create some pretty spectacular fireworks – shocking them both. But Davin can’t stay or won’t…

I really enjoyed The Bond That Heal Us. Christine D’Abo writes an excellent tale of redemption and healing. Both main characters and some of the second level characters go through hell and back but she brings them out the other side. The charisma between Sara and Davin will start fires and the twists and surprises kept this book moving along without any slow areas. I definitely recommend this book. A little vacation to far off places in the universe is a perfect summer vacation.
