I read the first book in this series, Virgin Jewels, and enjoyed it immensely. So I was excited to hear that Karen Erickson had written a sequel. When Stolen Hearts reached my hot little hands I was not disappointed at all. Ms. Erickson definitely has another winner here. The book is the second in a series and one you can read on its own but I would definitely recommend reading both of them.

Celeste Anderson runs a small jewelry store in an even smaller resort town. The most excitement she has is when the police officer comes in to flirt with her. That is until she makes a major purchase intent on using the profits to update her store. She had no idea that with the arrival of the antique bracelet she’d find her life turned upside down.

The last thing Alex Moretti wanted was to get back into his old line of work, one he had just been released from prison for pursuing. But crime was the family business and Alex’s father was determined to get his hands on the antique bracelet in Celeste’s shop and had decided that Alex was the man for the job. But neither one of them counted on what would happen when Alex met up with Celeste.

Stolen Hearts is a very quick and steamy read, which is a good thing because I didn’t want to put it down. The characters are extremely likeable and the chemistry between them is palpable which helps to keep the story moving along at a quick pace with no slow points. Stolen Hearts is a jewel of a story – and one you won’t want to miss.
