SRR GRADE: A+

In Mary Eason’s story Somewhere Between Love and Hate the sparks fly from the first paragraph. The tension between Lili and Damon is strung tighter than a bow string and you know they have to snap.

Lili has one thing only on her mind and that is to save her father. In order to do that she has to raise money for his medical treatment and selling off his last gallery is the only way. She has no idea that by selling the gallery she puts a plan in motion which was started eight years ago. Lili is an innocent, recently graduated from law school and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, her only family is her father and she’ll do anything to save him.

Damon is the black to Lili’s white, full of devious plans to destroy the father that Lili loves and possibly her at the same time. He has watched and waited for eight long years to have his revenge and now that it is at hand all he wants are his hands on Lili.

Try as they might to resist it is futile and the steam rising from the two lovers is palpable. I really enjoyed this book. I was all wound up in the tale and heartbroken at their predicament. The characters are well developed and realistic and the plot was intriguing and kept me involved. I couldn’t wait to find out the truth of why Damon was seeking revenge!

I highly recommend Somewhere Between Love and Hate. You’ll enjoy every word of this contemporary novelette. Damon is so hot and sexy he can walk through my door any time – and like Lili I’d offer him anything he wants! The heat is so high you’ll need to turn down your thermostat!
