Something About That Lady by Carol McPhee is a sweet contemporary
romance of two emotionally scarred people who against all odds find love
together.
When widow Brie Beaumont accepts an invitation to visit a ranch in Canada’s
Rocky Mountains she runs head long into co-owner Jed Cameron and all his
distrust. Convinced she is a gold digger out to take his ranch, he does
everything he can to run her off. Suddenly though, passion sparks and Jed
goes from trying to run her off to wanting her to stay forever. But when
tragedy strikes will their love be enough for them to survive?
The emotion from the characters fairly leapt off the page and their turmoil
fairly screamed for a resolution. The secondary characters of Matt and Hank
will blow you away with their matchmaking attempts to bring the two
stubborn, scared people together so then can heal each other. This book
will have you fuming with Brie as she deals with Jed’s apparent indifference
and callousness. But Jed’s soft and vulnerable side is soon revealed and
you find yourself crying with the emotional intensity the characters find
themselves as they struggle to find their way back to each other. If you
are interested in an emotional roller coaster ride, Something About That
Lady is for you.
