Two years ago Faith Davenport survived an attack that left her best friend,
Rachel Jennings and Rachel’s father dead and Faith with no memory of her
past. The only thing it has left her with is a mysterious stalker that has
had her on the run. Now living on Hope Island and using the name Faith
McKinzie her stalker has found her again. JT Wyatt knows his new neighbor is
hiding something. All his detective instincts are going off and his emotions
are getting involved.
Silent Witness is an interesting puzzle for the reader and Ms. Eason
does an excellent job of giving the reader clues to the mystery, making them
believe they’ve figured it out and then discouraging that assumption. A
Romantic Suspense novel, Silent Witness has that but also is
reminiscent of a good mystery. JT and Faith both have enough issues to
drown a less capable writer, but Ms. Eason keeps the story afloat and the
issues never overwhelm the reader. This isn’t a book you can read lightly,
instead it makes the reader think and engage their powers of deduction. The
ending twist had me fish mouthing at it. |
