Synopsis:
A naked witch in a man’s bed isn’t necessarily a bad thing…unless the man
happens to be a sixty-eight-year-old dead man. That’s Noelle’s dilemma.
Well, part of it. The second half comes in the form of Jacob Sanders, the
dead man’s very much alive, extremely sexy nephew. And he wants answers.
Three hungover but sexy witches, a missing body, one hunky man all add up to
paranormal trouble…of the black satin kind.

In Sensual Spell,
Rachel Carrington gives her readers an amusing and unforgettable novella
featuring a hapless witch, a dead body and the newly deceased's unhappy
nephew. As it is clearly evident from the beginning of Sensual Spell,
when Noelle Bridges wakes up in bed next to Uncle Ed's body - this author
has fantastic comedic timing, and with this book it is her intent to keep
her readers in metaphoric "stitches." Luckily Ms. Carrington does not
disappoint us, fulfilling her promise of constant laughter from beginning to
end. She has great fun inserting comments and insights from Noelle's
eccentric aunts Emmie, Heart and Jazz with their odd quirks and individual
personalities. The three witches spend the majority of the story trying to
find spells to either rescue Noelle or ride herd over their other niece, her
spiteful cousin Emma.
Amazingly, with such
in-depth character and plot development, especially in such a short story,
Ms. Carrington manages to produce a highly romantic novella. Uncle Ed's
nephew, Jacob Sanders, has a difficult time believing in Noelle and her
story initially, so naturally love or even lust at first sight is not on his
agenda; not so for poor Noelle! Cousin Ella is so evident as the scene
spoiler that she is almost a cliché however; it is this obviousness that
makes her character endearing enough to hope she gets her own story sometime
in the future. This was a fun little story, the only disappointment was the
fact that it ended all too soon.
