Synopsis:

Sexy cowboy Mitch Cartwright is desperate enough to do just about anything to keep his ranch. Even if it means strutting his nearly naked self in an art class for extra money.

When Ava Clarington gets an eyeful of the handsome hunk, she can think of plenty of ways to help reduce his stress. There’s only one thing standing in her way—how is she going to get to know him better when she has to serve him foreclosure papers on his ranch?

SRR GRADE:  B+

Ride A Cowboy by Carrie Destler is a sexy short story that was a pleasure to read.  I have to say that the opening scene was great and definitely caught my attention.  The characters were so likable and the plot was rather unique.  For a short story, it sure packed a lot of punch!

Eva Clarington is in love, or at least in lust with the naked model in her art class.  She has other things on her mind though and that includes keeping her grandfather’s old house and working at a job that she hates.  If that isn’t bad enough, she receives a chain letter in the mail from a Mitch Cartwright threatening bad luck to anyone who doesn’t pass it along to five people within twenty four hours.  She disregards the chain letter but much to her dismay, bad luck seems to suddenly start following her.  However, her luck begins to change when she is to serve eviction papers to the person who supposedly sent her this chain letter.

Mitch Cartwright is desperate to keep his ranch, so desperate in fact that he agrees to model naked.  After a brief altercation with Eva, he remembers he as one of the art students that was at the class he was modeling in.  He doesn’t know that she’s there to serve him eviction papers.

Both Eva and Mitch won’t to keep their homes and will do anything to achieve that goal, but when Eva starts falling in love with Mitch, she realizes that some dreams are worth more than others.

I really enjoyed Ride A Cowboy.  It’s a great contemporary romance with an ending that I’m sure will satisfy any romance reader.
