Synopsis:
Marriage was her only means of escape . . .
Though Honora Tannach came of age amid the misty moors of the Scottish
highlands, where warring clans battled to the death for the future of their
wild land, nothing frightens her so much as a lifetime trapped in the castle
of her cruel stepfather. She is thrilled when a marriage is arranged to the
son of a Scottish laird . . . until her betrothed is revealed to be Cavan
Sinclare. Though the savage warrior once saved her life, Honora knows no one
can tame the heart of such a brute, no matter now finely chiseled his
features or how enticing his eyes . . . .
After escaping his captors, Cavan's only concern is protecting his clan from
the menacing invaders who threaten at every turn—and his beautiful wife is a
dangerous distraction. But in the face of fiery passion, their reluctance
will fade . . . and Cavan will discover that there is no greater strength
than the power of true love.

Donna Fletcher’s new release, Return of the Rogue, is a truly
wonderful historical romance. The characters are so completely engaging and
the plot flows smoothly from page to page, this is a book not to be missed.
I can honestly say that Return of the Rogue is my favorite Donna
Fletcher book to date.
Honora Tannach can’t wait to leave her abusive stepfather’s castle. Lucky
for her, her stepfather is marrying her to the heir of the Sinclair clan,
Atair. There is a contract between the two fathers saying that Honora is to
marry the next heir, and since that man, Caven, may be dead, the title will
fall into Atair’s hands. But lo and behold, Caven is indeed alive and
manages to show up right on the day of Honora’s and Atair’s wedding. Since
he is the rightful heir of the Sinclair clan, he has found himself married
to Honora, instead of his brother.
Caven and Honora must honor the contract that was agreed upon between the
two families. Honora is apprehensive about being with Caven. She remembers
when he saved her life as a young girl and now that she is a woman, she sees
the power he holds in his hand but she also notices how handsome he is.
What I loved most about this book was seeing how Caven and Honora’s
relationship grow during the course of the story. They are both wonderful
characters and it was so easy to fall in love with both of them.
It wasn’t only Caven and Honora that kept the story flowing smoothly; the
secondary characters play an integral role and they captured my heart, as
well. Donna Fletcher wrote the kind of book that I can easily read again
and again.
Return of the Rogue is a heartwarming romance. I can’t wait to read
more from this extremely talented author!
