Synopsis:
Teane McGowan is a hard working engineer. A pure sailor to the bone, she
asks for no quarter and she gives none. She has one major weakness, he
Chief, Brett Olden. She thought her secret crush on her work center
supervisor would stay a secret, until she is caught red handed fantasizing
about her dream man in the most compromising situation imaginable.
Brett Olden couldn't believe his eyes. He had managed to keep Petty Officer
McGowan at arms length, admiring from afar, but never touching. To do so
would end his career. But walking in on the delectable little sailor in a
compromising position broke any kind of resolve he might have had. He had to
make her his, and damn the consequences.
Will Brett and Teane find love or will they just be two ships passing in the
night?

Petty Officer Teane McGowan is a master at working on
marine diesel engines for the Navy and her favorite time to work is late
at night when all is quiet on the vessel. Taking a relaxing bath in the
locked Engine Room before heading to bed was meant to be private but
screaming out your Chief's name while in the throws of a self-induced
orgasm and being caught by said Chief is beyond embarrassing. Unless the
Chief is looking at you like you are his first meal after being starved
for months. Chief Brett Olden knows that fraternization between an
Officer and a subordinate would have charges brought against him and ruin
his career but Teane is so worth it. How do you keep your hands to
yourself and the smoldering glances meant for each other's eyes only
between you two?
Ms. Azod packed a huge dose of forbidden love, romance
and sex into the quickie Red
Skies at Night. This
novel was a "feel good" read in more ways than one. I thoroughly enjoyed
Teane's sense of wanting to accomplish goals on her own terms and not what
people thought were stereo-typically jobs for women on a Naval vessel.
Brett made me quiver with his passion for his two year secret obsession.
Their dedication to each other was also a trait that made me love these
characters. Ms. Azod drew me into this book like a lighthouse and I have
the undeniable impression that I will be reading more of this storyteller
in the immediate future.
