Queen of Trees
is a quick little fantasy chock full of magic and mayhem with a bit of
passion thrown in for good measure.
Lana is a tree warder
using the powers she was taught to protect the World Wood and all creatures
within. She never imagines she’ll find love or a husband or even leave the
forest. That is until she comes across Kail Mageking in a fight for his
life.
Lana feels instant
attraction to the gorgeous Prince and agrees to help him take back his
kingdom and keep him safe. Kail realizes that Lana is the female his mother
foretold would save them all and he has no intention of letting anything
happen to her. Along the way the meet a little purple haired elf and
together they make their plans.
Lynn Lowery does a nice
job of sharing her world of magic with us in the Queen of Trees. The
characters are likeable and the story, though short, is interesting and
keeps your attention. There are some really nice touches with secret rooms
with magical weapons and of course the trees and forest life which protect
Lana as she protects them. Of course good triumphing over evil is an old
theme but it rings true in this mini-mystical read.
