Synopsis:
When Becca stood up Jack for what promised to be the hottest one night stand

victim and Jack is the only person who can protect her. He must keep her
close, but he finds himself keeping her far closer than any investigation
would require.

At first glance they seem like the most unlikely
couple: a police detective and a psychic. Yet from the first the chemistry
between Becca Hamilton and Jack Duritz is undeniable – and apparently
unforgettable. Two years later they meet again, and the magic is still
there, literally. As this encounter involves one of Jack's cases, the
circumstances are not as pleasant, and needless to say they are not happy to
see each other again, at least not at first.
Bronwyn Green does an exceptional job of melding the romance and the mystery
into a satisfying and cohesive tale. We watch as Jack and Becca try to
adjust their personalities to each other: Jack suspending his natural
skepticism to believe in Becca's mystic abilities, and Becca trying to trust
that what she sees of their future will be enough to keep Jack safe. As the
serial killer becomes a serious threat to Becca's safety the reader is kept
on the edge of their seat until the very end. Will the lovers persevere,
