Set in and around Alabama, Texas and the Gulf Coast More Than
Angels paints a clear picture of the local color. You can hear
the soft southern drawl, smell the saltiness in the air and even feel
the ocean breeze on your skin. LeeAnn Ward tells this story of love, betrayal,
and the search for happiness very well. Her characters are believable
and pull on your heartstrings. Though the dialogue doesn’t quite
ring true the story is powerful enough to hold your interest.
Penny has admired Jack from afar for a very long time, but having dated
her best friend she considered him off limits. Jack had other ideas, drawn
to Penny like a moth to a flame, he found the one woman he was ready to
give his heart to, but things are never as simple as they seem.
More Than Angels is filled with plot twists and turns
and you’re never really sure who the bad guys really are until you
get to the end of the book. The love Penny and Jack feel for each other
is sweet and they are so very deserving of the fulfillment of their hopes
and dreams – but will they be able to attain them? You’ll
have to read this sweet and suspenseful novel to find out!
