Jack Darrow was expecting a quiet night at the department store he was moonlighting as a security guard. What he wasn’t expecting was the sexy bombshell still trying on dresses long after the store had closed for the night.

Much as he hated doing it, he had to arrest her for shoplifting. When the sexy brunette explained that she wasn’t stealing the dress, but was trying to find one to wear to her divorce hearing the next day that was a look-at-what-you-lost-you-cheating-creep, he decided not to charge her with shoplifting. What he wasn’t expecting was the powerful heat that arced between them.

Before they knew it, they were in the dressing room and Jack and Kara were having the best mind-blowing sex of their lives.

When it was over Jack realized that Kara thought this was his regular MO and he couldn’t stand the idea she thought he was that sleazy. No matter what he did, he couldn’t convince her otherwise.

Knowing he couldn’t let it go at that, he received and unexpected surprise the next morning as he was leaving for the day. Jack’s day job was that of a cop and when he busted a hooker with a john, he was stunned that the man with the prostitute was the man Kara was divorcing. Karma was working in his favor.

The only thing was, would Kara believe him when he told her he wanted her for the long haul and that he would never treat her like her ex did? Ah, Karma has a lot to do with many things, but the heart of a woman is all her own.

Short and sweet, and scorching, this sexy little read will make many a woman add this tale to wantabe fantasies. My only complaint is that is wasn’t longer.
