Synopsis:
Megan Frost, an up-and-coming restaurateur, knows everything there is to
know about the culinary arts, but when it comes to pop culture, she’s been
living under a rock. During a vacation to the sunny island of Bermuda, the
yummiest dish she’s ever laid eyes on rolls that rock right off her.
British musician Gabriel Law, the famous Dark Angel of Rock, regrets putting
his songwriting on the back burner. Tired and creatively simmered out, he
retreats to the peace and solitude of Bermuda in order to cook up some
original sounds for his new album. But when he finds a naked girl in his
holiday cottage, he happily exchanges solitude for a sizzling duet.
The ingredients for a sexy, scorching relationship are in place, but the mix
isn’t complete without a romantic legend, a mysterious taxi driver and a
surprise symbol of destiny from the aquamarine sea…

When Megan Frost is forced to go on vacation in Bermuda,
she thinks it might be good to have a vacation fling. That was before
thinking every plant known to man has a secret agenda to make her life
miserable. Megan is found asleep and naked on the tiles of the cottage
trying to find relief from her wicked sunburn by none other than sexy as all
get out and multi-Grammy winning, Gabriel "Dark Angel of Rock" Law. Deciding
to share the cottage because it was apparently a mistake for Gemma and her
husband Ash to let two single friends have access to the cottage at the same
time. Right? Megan, enjoying the time with Gabriel, who she thinks is an up
and coming artist, decides he is the perfect person for her vacation fling
until she finds out who he really is. Gabriel, has no idea how "Average
Megan" has wormed her way into his heart. Will they be able to abide by the
promise to not make the relationship more than a vacation fling, or does the
Magic of the Island have other plans for them?
Law of Averages was a phenomenal read. The plot was intriguing
especially in today's "information at your fingertip" age.
Megan was amusing with her thinking plants were out to get her for previous
wrongs done to them by her hand. I also enjoyed how practical she was by
thinking of the tiles as a way to help cool down her sunburn.
Gabriel was a surprise. I didn't expect him to be as outgoing to a stranger
as he was towards Megan. I was expecting him to be continuously on his guard
because of who he was.
Their relationship was fast and furious and I enjoyed every second of it.
Law of Averages is a great book to read on the beach but please remember
to use your sunscreen. You will be hot enough just reading the book.
