Synopsis:

She fights.

Janie Parker’s a supernatural assassin—not by choice, but what’s a girl gonna do? The only thing standing between her and decapitation at the hands of her hellish boss is a magical artifact called The Eye. To get it, all Janie has to do is find a dark, broody vampire named Michael Quinn and take it. Easy, right? Except if Quinn keeps kissing her that way, she just might lose her head...in more ways than one.

He bites.

Former vampire hunter Michael Quinn is determined to become human again. If he grabs hold of The Eye and makes a wish—then boom, everything’s good with the world. But now Quinn has a sassy tagalong with a long, delectable neck and orders to stake him on sight. He just hopes his first bite won’t be Janie’s last moment on earth...

KUDOS to author Michelle Rowen for her fabulous book Lady and the Vamp. I was so thrilled to read such a remarkable book with such vivid characters involved. The main characters, Janie Parker and Michael Quinn were a fantastic team. Their stubbornness, courage and passion proved indispensable against their two evil foes, his Uncle Malcolm (evil vampire/ex- vampire hunter) and her Boss (a demon named Radisshii).

Along for the adventure are their sidekicks Barkley (werewolf, psychic and comically witty) and Lenny (the poetic assistant). The four separate into groups of two in order to get the task done. Janie and Quinn go in search of the EYE while Barkley and Lenny travel to Vegas to find the casino where her sister Angela may be. Janie and Quinn find the EYE and travel to Vegas to meet up with Lenny and Barkley . Once there, they are confronted by Malcolm and later by her Boss who both want the EYE for themselves and will do anything to get it - including kill. Mix all this in with a true love found, witty humor (even in time of danger) and demon butt-kickin' and it leaves an ending result of a phenomenal storyline.
