It’s Been Awhile is the newest contemporary erotic romance by author Lexie Davis. Davis
penned another emotional yet sexy story that centers around two people
who have to come to terms with their past in order to trust and love
each other again, when they’re reunited years later.
Ben Hawkins is the
lead guitarist of the popular band called Darkfever. He’s preparing to
go back to his hometown of Tyler, Texas to perform a live show for the
hometown crowd. The only problem is that years ago he left his only
love, a wealthy young lady named Marah Spencer, and left Tyler to pursue
his music and for another entirely different reason. Although many
years have passed since he left her, he can’t get her out of his mind
and his heart. Coming back to Tyler is the last thing he needs to do
right now.
Marah has never
forgotten her first lover, Ben. Now she’s on assignment to interview
the members of Darkfever and that includes him. Although she makes a
promise to herself to not become involved with Ben again, she can’t help
when those old feelings begin to resurface. However, before she gives
her heart to him again, they need to deal with the past and be open
about why he left all those years before.
It’s
Been Awhile is a big story that’s packaged into a short novella. If you’re familiar
with Lexie Davis’ writing, you already know that she can pack a lot of
punch into a short story. This release is filled with a lot of emotion,
intense dialogue and incredible sex scenes. It’s Been Awhile is
another winner from this talented up and coming author.
