Before Rosanne’s fiancé died in a car crash they had found a website that
made rings out of a loved one’s ashes and thought it would be sweet. When
her fiancé’s brother, Ted, shows up and presents her with a ring made from,
Tim’s ashes she outs the ring on and strange things begin to happen. Tim’s
soul is haunting the ring and he is looking for a way to return to the woman
he loves, even if it means confronting his brother.
The blurb for Heart Diamond sounds interesting, but unfortunately it
doesn’t live up to its promise – for me. While the idea of a spirit haunting
a ring made of their ashes does not offend me and I actually find it a sweet
and romantic notion there are other elements that just don’t do it for me.
The erotic content was lukewarm and seemed like the author forced it. None
of the characters have dimension or depth, the villain of the story lacks
any redeeming qualities, the hero and heroine lack any vices making them all
seem like stock characters pushed around to fit the author’s premise. The
ending when it comes, is too forced to make for a believable resolution. |
