Synopsis:
In a lesbian society, mating with a male, even if it is
to save the human race, is a distasteful task and one Healer Jahara
Hriznek, has successfully avoided-but time and excuses have both run out.
Adhering to the outdated procreation law of the twenty-first century, she
takes up residence at the government breeding facility known as the Garden
of Serenity.
Brenimyn is a gifted breeding instructor at the Garden. Forced to copulate
with all females who request his services, he is tired of the sexist
government enslaving men. He lives to find the woman who will fulfill his
destiny and help him bring about social equality.
Can Brenimyn and Jahara learn to trust each other and their hearts and
allow love to bring about a new world order in The Healer's Garden?

The Healer’s Garden by Nina Pierce is a sexy futuristic romance set
in a totally lesbian society. Or is it? In order to preserve the race,
women are required to live in the government breeding facility until they
conceive and give birth to two offspring.
This is the world in which Jahara and Brenimyn meet. From their first
meeting the sparks fly causing Jahara to question everything she believes in
and to join in the secret fight to change the world.
The characters were intriguing and after a slow start you really became
invested in their future. The plot was unique, sort of the flip side of
when women were considered inferior to men, and the sex was intense and
exciting. Jahara and Bren were great main characters and you find yourself
pulling for them almost from the moment they meet. I have to admit Bren was
a lot more sympathetic character than Jahara but very quickly Jahara reveals
her softer side and you find yourself rooting for them as they attempt to
educate and recreate the world they live in. This is a great read and if
you are in the mood for a sexy futuristic romance, The Healer’s Garden
is the book for you.
