Synopsis:

Laura Marshall’s grandmother loves to arrange blind dates for her. Most are abysmal failures, until Grandma sets her up with devastatingly handsome and equally charming Ted Carlton. They hit it off so perfectly, Laura begins to imagine they may have a future together. Then she sees him in a passionate lip lock with some other woman. Now she wants only to forget all about him. Except she can’t. Everywhere she goes, there he is, courting her. Doesn’t he know they’re totally wrong for each other?

Laura Marshall’s grandmother has been setting her up on blind dates for a while now. She’s trying to help her granddaughter find Mr. Right. The last two of the dates were Mr. Wrong. Laura agrees to let her grandmother set her up one more time, with a man named Harold, with the condition that she won’t do it again if this one falls through.

During a business meeting, she meets a man named Ted. They hit it off together and she would love to spend more time with him. As much as she hates leaving, she does have a promise to keep. She’s more than surprised to learn that Harold is Ted. His first name is Harold, but prefers Ted. They talk for hours, growing closer and the spark between them is growing into a flame.

When Laura returns from the ladies room what she sees shatters the fragile relationship she thought she and Ted were beginning. He was kissing another woman. She holds back to see what happens. Ted’s actions make him appear guilty and Laura refuses to have anything to do with a womanizer.

She ends the date, refusing to see Ted again. But everywhere she goes, he’s there. And he won’t take the hint and leave her alone. When he finally confronts her, asking why she’s pulling away, she tells him what she saw.

Ted has one shot to explain to Laura how he feels and what she believes she saw, wasn’t what happened.

I loved how Ted explains things, to right a wrong. And he makes such a convincing argument. It’s a short read, but the storyline is full and fun to follow. Sometimes romance is easy, sometimes its an uphill battle. But the reward is well worth it when you get it right.
