Dr. Aurora Garrwick didn’t realize
the can of worms she would open when she helped the unconscious woman out of
the tree. She even believed the woman slightly crazy when she insisted she
was Aphrodite, until her son decided to help her find the perfect man. When
a freak snow storm strands her in a house with the retired God of Nurture,
Nigel, Aurora finds herself fighting herself falling in love with him.
Taige Crenshaw takes that very basic
idea and creates a wonderfully humorous, and delightfully refreshing tale.
Nurturing, usually attributed to females, finds a wonderful champion in
Nigel. Ms. Crenshaw manages to balance the nurturing side of his nature with
his all too male instincts and gives the reader a hero they want to bring
home and keep.
As an avid mythology buff, too often
I see writers play fast and loose with the ancient deities, destroying the
core personality of them. In God Style Temptation Ms. Crenshaw makes
the deities her own, but the core personalities remain. So on a cold snowy
or rainy afternoon, curl up with Nigel and Aurora and let them warm you up.
