Synopsis:

Arianna is a slave in the Kingdom of Pierra on the planet
of Adamah of the Weiran Solar System. Sold into slavery as a child, at the
age of eighteen she catches the queen’s eye and soon becomes her most
trusted and favorite slave. She finds that the queen’s favorite and most
loyal general, Karan is accused of attempting to assonate the queen and
thinks that there is more here than meets the eye. Karan is punished, his
lands taken away and his beautiful wife killed, his daughter taken and he is
branded on his hand and his face so that all can see his shame.
But the queen is poisoned, and Arianna was the only one in the room when it
happened. Knowing that if she is caught her life is forfeit, she hides until
dark, then races into the dangerous forest. Only by grace does Karan find
her and take her to his cave.
Karan decides to help the slave and not turn her in to the soldiers. In her
ordeal to escape, she becomes sick and the more Karan takes care of her the
more he falls for the beauty. There is something about her that calls for
him to protect her, to keep her, to love her. And in a very short time, it
happens.
When Arianna falls for the general, she falls fast and hard enough to hurt.
As a show of her love for him, she agrees to go back into the castle to
rescue his daughter Lara before she is used as a sex slave.
The sacrifice for him to allow Arianna to go back into the one place that is
lethal to her makes him hurt. Though she has taken a potion from a powerful
witch to change her appearance dramatically, he fears for her life. The day
is long, and the suns are long in setting. It is a fight to the death for
him to protect his daughter and the woman he now calls wife. Even as good a
soldier as he was, they are seriously outnumbered and it’s going to take a
miracle for them to get out alive.
Sexy, sweet, and a great read. Gentle Warrior is different from any
book I’ve read, and that’s saying a lot. It’s a fast paced book with lots of
danger, betrayal, love and very sexy nights. It’s gone with my keepers.
