I really had fun with Emilia’s
Emancipation. It was a joy to read. Between the wonderful love story
between Emilia and Ramón and the little psychic twists and turns, it was a
really good story.
Emilia had been a single mother for all of
her son’s life, getting divorced shortly after he was born. Slightly
overprotective she refused to date until her son, Anthony, was at least 16
years old – that meant four more years and by then Emilia would be almost
50. Her sister Angela thought that was way too long and that Emilia
deserved to be loved. So Angela puts her matchmaking skills into motion and
voilá the plan is hatched…
Enter Ramón, sexy younger man and part-time
dance instructor. Emilia is tricked into taking over Angela’s lessons when
she feigns a broken ankle but as soon as she looks into Ramón’s deep brown
eyes and places her hand in his she feels the sexual electricity right down
to her toes. She fights her attraction to him with everything she has but
can’t resist his smooth Latin charm. Ramón knows that for the first time in
years he can actually feel again. Too bad Anthony is so freaked out about
them and with his emerging psychic powers it is impossible to hide anything
from him.
Gracie McKeever tells a wonderful story of
finding love again. Emilia’s Emancipation will make you happy just
reading it, and the night of incredible passion between Emilia and Ramón was
more than enough to have me looking for a cool breeze! This story brings
hope to all those who think they’ve lost their only chance at love. Don’t
pass this one up, it’s a keeper.
