Synopsis:

Hallie Clearwater is stronger than your average woman and even more determined to carry out her mission. She’ll do whatever it takes to find the traitor and see justice done and no one or thing will stand in her way.

Daniel Highcliff has been beaten but not broken – wrongly imprisoned and treated inhumanely for almost a year he wants nothing more than to escape his prison walls. He will do anything to obtain his “get out of jail free” card and takes Hallie up on her offer to spring him from prison if he’ll help her. But…he has two demands – he gets to have her whenever he wants and his name is cleared afterwards. Surprised she agrees anyway – wondering what she is letting herself in for.

Hallie and Daniel may seem as different as night and day but they have one big thing in common – they don’t trust each other or anyone else. As they are drawn together like bees to honey and their relationship blooms they slowly learn to let down their defenses.

Desperate Alliance is a wonderful story. It is well thought out and the characters have a lot of depth, just reading about the treatment Daniel experienced in prison was enough to bring tears to my eyes. The suspense builds to a great climax – in more ways than one. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. Desperate Alliance is fast-paced, thrilling and thoroughly steamy!
