Charming the Masters is a
pleasant surprise. Often in BDSM stories the pleasurable bite of pain is
exaggerated or used only to spice up a scene. Instead Ms. Kingston shows us
that it is to be entered into by completely consensual parties and the
importance of safety and respecting the submissive’s limits. That isn’t to
say that Charming The Masters isn’t hot, because it is an inferno
without being crass or demeaning or fall into stereotypical clichés.
Ms. Kingston handles the daunting
task of ménage and BDSM with a skill that is often lacking in similar
stories. She manages to create a subplot of an insecure in her appearance
woman capturing the man of her dreams with a brush of genius. Each character
is well defined and with enough internal conflict to keep each unique, and
endearing. Definitely a book to add to your must read list.
