Toronto Detective Tao Drakes needed to find the "Joker",
the prime suspect in a round of serial murder cases that stated off with
young, beautiful women as the victims but now the focus is gay men. With a
tip that takes him to sunny Jamaica, Tao meets local Officer Ken Davis. More
than the heat rises as these two encounter one of the Island's biggest
taboos - homosexuality. The "Joker" is close the either man is comfortable
with him being. Will their blooming attraction and love be enough to
overcome the past hurts and prejudices?
Mr. Duchene's vividly detailed novel made me feel not only the warmth of the
Caribbean but also the heavy attraction between Tao and Ken. I felt that Tao
was a Knight in Shining Armor. He stood up to the stereotypes even when the
people dishing out the foulness mattered to him. Ken seemed to be waiting to
be rescued by a Knight, I loved reading as their love story unfolded in the
heat of the moment. And there were a lot of heated moments in this novel, If
you are just starting to read m/m romances or if you are a veteran,
Caribbean Heat will warm more places than your heart.
