Synopsis:

Carolyn is the curator of the Warren Mansion Museum. In the basement she discovers a diamond ring enchanted to allow the wearer to see and interact with spirits. Bruce was cursed hundreds of years ago. His spirit is trapped beyond the veil between worlds. Carolyn is the first person to be able to see him in ages. And not just see him, but touch him. There is an immediate attraction between the pair that builds with each encounter. Curses have a way of not wanting to be broken, putting them both in serious peril.

Carolyn Bennett was on a treasure hunt. The legend behind a diamond ring had drawn her to the basement of the Warren Mansion Museum and as she follows the faded, fragile, map she finds in Celia Warran’s dressing table she finds an envelope right behind the brick that showed on the map. Inside the envelope is a letter and Celia’s diamond wedding ring. Celia claimed she could speak to her grandson, Bruce Warren who at the age of 33 had tragically died over a hundred years ago. Without reading the letter, or even giving it a second thought, Carolyn slips the ring on her finger and is transported back in time. But it’s the hunky man standing before her that she can’t resist. Carolyn had fallen in love with Bruce Warren the moment she saw his painting in the foyer. But that painting had nothing on the man himself. The man that burns for her with a passion she’s never experienced in her life. After a round of earth shaking sex, Bruce tells her he can’t let her go. And Carolyn isn’t about to be stuck in the somewhere in between. When she removes the ring, she’s back in her own time. And Bruce is gone.

As she reads the letter she learns Celia’s secret. Bruce was cursed. And though Celia tried to break the curse, the betrayer is too close for her to name the person. Carolyn learns that if she is holding the ring in her hand, she’ll be able to feel and hear Bruce, but can’t see him. If she wears the ring on a chain around her neck, she’ll be able to see him. But it’s only when she wears the ring on her finger is she transported into Bruce’s hell.

The more time they spend together, the more Carolyn loves him and is determined to break his curse. Even though he’s dead, his spirit is tied to the house and he’s unable to move on. But Bruce is losing hope. He’s falling in love with Carolyn, but even if she does find a way to end his curse, his time is long gone and he has nothing to offer her.

It is then that Carolyn is attacked. Has the key to it all been right there before his eyes? And will he be forced to stand by helplessly as she’s taken from him forever?

Hot, sexy, and with a curse thrown in for good measure, how could a body resist? Bruce Warren had a lot of time to think about what he might have done to bring down what he thought was the worst kind of hell on his head. But with the love of a good woman anything is possible. And in all the Good vs Evil, with love tipping the scale, Good has to come out on top, right? Unless Bruce can learn the key part needed to save Carolyn, he’ll be haunting his home in a different kind of hell. You won’t be able to put this book down until you’ve finished it. And there is a surprise or two that I didn’t see coming. You’ll have to love it!
