Synopsis:

Overweight, overworked and undersexed, Sara Delaney loves her job as an E.R. nurse but fears her life has become a monotonous series of shift rotations with a little sleep in between and even less of a social life. That is until former high school jock, Alex Conrad, shows up with an allergic reaction and an inflated ego, questioning her bedside manner.

Alex not only took her virginity back in high school, he left a young girl heartbroken. Now he's back in town and ready to pick up where he and Sara left off. But the girl he left behind is more woman than he bargained for, and after one night, he finds himself addicted to the good nurse's TLC.

Sara Delaney is just finishing up a twelve hour shift at the hospital E.R. when she is called in to evaluate a patient who has had a bad allergic reaction. Sara also doesn’t have much of a life outside the hospital, which also includes dating. And, poor Sara can’t even remember the last time she has had sex. But her dating past is about to come back and haunt her when the patient is Alex Conrad, former Captain of her high school football team and the man who tool her virginity.

Alex is now works as a real estate agent and is as handsome as Sara remembers, even with his allergy. He even asks her out to dinner, which Sara quickly turns him down. Alex thinks Sara is still beautiful and would love to pick up where they last left things and he won’t take no for an answer. He will use every seduction skill he has to get Sara to go out with and hopes she will eventually end up in his bed.

Bedside Manner is a cute and sexy romance with a woman like Sara who feels she is an ugly duckling when it comes to a man like Alex. She is afraid of being hurt and thinks Alex is still a love them and leave them kind of guy. Alex knows that he wants and even though he is interested in the physical side of things with Sara, he also wants to get to know the woman who is so dedicated to her career and helping others.

If you like your love scenes that almost scorch the pages, Bedside Manner delivers this very well. Sophia Rae has written a mature and sexy second chance romance that will leave you with a smile on your face.
